Moonie has searched and yelled till her voice hurts trying to find her kitty cat that got out of the car at this national forest park* We can’t find them* We go back and sit in the car and feel terrible but a bird flies next to the car driver window and beats its wings to try to get our attention and then three colourful birds land and drink out of kitty’s drink bowl we sit outside in case they came back looking for food and drink* They all seemed to be the same kind of bird but they are different colours! They almost look like tropical parakeets but bigger, maybe flown up from the bay area* One is bright green, another is a sort of cream coloured with brightly coloured flecks and then two more arrive and they all seem to be trying to tell us something* They sit on the edge of the water dish and drink but they don’t eat out of the food dish with meat in it* Then, a brightly orange reddish bird like them lands but can’t get to the water dish or is being polite and don’t want to push the other birds out of the way to get a drink* The other birds fly away and this orange bird stays behind but doesn’t drink even after the others leave* That’s queer but we’re only relaying what we observe without any judgement but we don’t know to what degree we interfere with them by watching them do this*
